MegaMods was started in 2011 by a couple of console players who were fed up with the gap between mouse-and-keyboard and controller in competitive shooters. We couldn't mod the games themselves — but we could mod the hardware. That's what we've been doing for 14 years, by hand, from a small workshop in LA.

Since then we've hand-built over 50,000 controllers for players in 60+ countries. Every single unit is assembled, flashed, and tested by a human technician. No outsourced manufacturing, no drop-shipping, no authorized resellers. If it's a MegaMods controller, it came out of our shop.

What we build

  • Modded controllers — pre-built DualSense, DualShock 4, and Xbox One controllers with our 20-mode mod chip installed and every major game profile pre-loaded. Ships in 1–2 days.
  • Custom controllers — our full build-your-own experience. Pick the shell, buttons, thumbsticks, triggers, LEDs, back paddles, and mods. Built to spec in 7–10 business days.
  • Game-specific profiles — every major FPS and battle royale on console has a tuned profile on our chip: Call of Duty, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Battlefield, GTA, Rainbow 6 Siege, PUBG. Updated every season.
  • Lifetime mod support — when games patch or new titles launch, we push remote updates to the chip. Your controller never becomes obsolete.

  • Genuine hardware — every controller starts as a new, sealed Sony or Microsoft unit. Never a knockoff shell, never a refurbished chassis.
  • Hand-built, not factory-assembled — no conveyor belt, no soldering robot. One technician from unbox to final test.
  • Per-weapon tuning — other mod chips use generic timings that break when a game updates. Ours store hundreds of weapon-specific intervals, re-tuned every season.
  • Zero bans — 50,000+ units shipped, zero console anti-cheat actions in 14 years across Ricochet, BattlEye, EAC, Vanguard, and FairFight.
  • US-based support — our warranty and customer service team operates from the same building as the workshop. Warranty claims resolved in days, not weeks.

What we believe

Two things drive this company: fair fights on console, and the craft of putting something together by hand.

We're not trying to build aimbot, and we're not trying to cheat anyone out of anything. We're building the best possible controllers for console players who care about the mechanical side of their game — the millisecond difference between winning a 1v1 and eating a killcam. Every mod we ship is a hardware-level improvement to button timing, stick response, or input consistency. No game files get touched, no software gets injected, and no anti-cheat has ever been able to detect what we build.

Who buys from us

Our customers are casual players, ranked grinders, Twitch streamers, YouTubers, FNCS and ALGS hopefuls, and a handful of pros who use our controllers off-stream. They're all chasing the same thing — mechanical input that hits as fast and as consistently as their brain wants it to.

Where we are

Los Angeles, California. All builds, warranty repairs, and support emails come out of the same building. We ship worldwide via USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. We don't take walk-ins (small workshop, limited space) but we're happy to do video calls for wholesale or press inquiries.
